"We get presents all year; who needs Christmas"

i don't know how many times i have heard that lie from the platform.

i have heard that line of rubbish at big and great boasting sessions as well.

the witlesses act as if they get as many toys as worldly people, just scattered throughout the year.. now, i have seen many cases where that simply isn't true.

Most of the JW with kids under 10 years or so that I knew always gave their kids presents on boxing day "so they wouldnt feel left out....."

my first pagan tree!

well, i went to a xmas tree farm today and cut down a pagan tree.

brought it home much to the delight of the wife and daughter.. been 40 years!.

i often wondered why i couldnt come at a tree for the last 12 years out of christianity.

the recent socal rain storms had me needing to go to a launrdomat to dry some clothes.

so i get inside and see that one of the friendly neighborhood jehovah's witnesses has left a little dish of spiritual food.

being the benevolent soul that i am, i took my handy pen and added some additional spice to the bland spiritual food offered by the watchtower.. .

all america is reeling and so is the rest of the world if the reaction in the uk is anything to go by.

a sister in our congo burst in to tears when the topic was raised during a public talk on sunday.. the wt however teaches that all these sweet liitle defenseless children are to be killed, slaughtered, put to death with all the rest of earth's inhabitants.

we can cry for the few whilst praying for the extinction or multi-genocide of the human race.

The New Diary of Winston Smith

we had to go off grid for a time, time and half a time as we thought we had been outed.

fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.

i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

Its sounds like you are both doing ok with the slow fade, and great reading the recent posts about your sister....wow, she is making progress it seems, thinking for herself.....is it hard to bite your tongue and give her the answers hahaha?, I know you have to let her find out for herself but I would find it sooooo difficult not to hurry things along!

Its very exciting to read about your planned house move in the future, do you think you wil be far away enough for a fresh start?

Jehovah's Witnesses came round to my house

a couple of days ago, jehovah's witnesses came round to my house.

nothing exceptional in that, you might say.

it happens every day, all over the world.. but those of you who know me, or who have followed my story, know how traumatised i was when i finally got away from them, and you'll remember that i wrote a letter three or four weeks after walking away, ending all contact.

I sent a letter to the KH, informing them that if they continued to harrass my family and I, I would inform the police. I also noted that I was aware they would come back after a year (in case I changed my mind, or moved etc..)...and pre-empted any such contact by saying I would never change my mind, or move. I told them if they continued to bother me, I would inform the police about their tresspass, and have a sticker in my window saying the same.

I have had one call.......and he was a JW who happened to be delivering me a Xmas present Id ordered hahahaha. So, it wasnt a purposeful visit. They havent bothered me a jot!
